About the building:
Situated on one of Truro’s most historic and beautiful streets, our shop is like nothing you’ll have seen anywhere else. The building is a one-off with a history to match its wonky floors, cellars and listed 1920’s socialist slogans! Originally built in the 1800’s as a maltings, The Stores on Walsingham Place, has also been a boxing club, a coffin store and a socialist workers hall but had lain empty for years before we took on the lease and opened our doors in September 2013.
What we sell:
Cafe: We use local produce to home bake everything in our popular cafe. The menu changes with the seasons and what's available from our producers. We have a great range of sandwiches, stews, soups, salads, pies, curries, cakes and treats. We serve Origin Coffee, as well as a huge range of speciality teas and other hot drinks. We have a premise license so you can enjoy a pint or glass of wine with your meal. There is a kids menu and we welcome families to use our kids play area. Well behaved dogs are also welcome. Our cafe is available for private hire and catering packages are also available.
Shop: Our shop is fully stocked with the very best Cornish food and drink. We have gifts and hampers available to take away or have sent out for delivery across the UK. There is a huge range of fresh veg, meat and fish, as well as local alcohol, deli items and a big Cornish cheese counter.

Fresh Cornish Fish Stall - every Saturday morning outside the front of the shop.
